Dr. Matthew Kliethermes

Dr. Matthew Kliethermes is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who moved to Visalia in July 2019. He was raised in Saint Louis, and has traveled to various other cities for continued medical training.

He is our newest associate, who earned his MD degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2015, and then completed residency training at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. His services include cataract surgery, eyelid surgery, glaucoma management, multiple laser procedures and medical retina treatment for AMD, as well as diabetic eye disease.

Outside of work, Dr. Kliethermes enjoys backpacking through the local mountain ranges, and riding with the Southern Sierra Cycling club. He served on a medical mission to Honduras providing general medical and ophthalmic care, and looks forward to doing more in the future.
